Testimonials

“Even as people age and have symptoms of senility and Alzheimer’s the Lord continues to use them in amazing ways. Recently at a church service at the facility I mentioned Billy Graham and how he is an inspiration to those of us that are getting older. One of the young caregivers asked, “Who is Billy Graham?” Before I could answer, a little frail lady became more alert and loudly told her about Billy and took extra time to use the opportunity to tell her that she needed to ask Jesus into her heart. It’s wonderful to see how the Holy Spirit moves among His people.”

“A welcome surprise awaited me as I entered the room of two ladies with whom I had shared the Gospel message, six weeks earlier. The outspoken one said, “I don’t believe that stuff.” I was, however, given permission to pray for them over the six-week period that had transpired. As I prepared to leave, following this last visit, the outspoken one said, “Can you tell me how I can be saved?” I said, “There is nothing I would rather do.” Within a few minutes, both ladies had individually received Jesus.””

“Many Christian residents at the care center are inviting others to come to the worship services, and reaching out to help and to bless. Several that were there just waiting to die are experiencing being revived by the Lord. They ask questions about the Word of God and answer questions put to them, whereas before they would be still and quiet. They are responsive to the preaching and teaching and are being changed in their hearts. Some family members attend our services regularly, and others when they are in town, at the urging of the residents.”

“I was asked to meet a new resident, a woman who has been placed on hospice care. She suffers from cancer. She was very sad, hurt and disappointed. She shared her feelings; the fear of dying had consumer her emotions, as the tears began to flow. We spent some time in our visit as the Spirit of God came to give comfort and peace to this lady. She was able to attend our service that morning and found great delight in the singing of praises to our great God. ”

“Not only do the residents attend the service, but staff members as well. They find that sometimes the stress of their position has a resounding impact on their personal lives. We feel their pain just as Christ feels our pain. ”

“One lady requested that we come to see her, and as soon as we appeared at her door she said to us, “I want to become a Christian!” She had attended our church services at the care center only twice, for she was too ill. So we had the joy of explaining God’s love and plan of salvation and to pray with her. It was with such solemnity that she received the Lord – truly a holy moment. She went on to the arms of her Savior within a few days.”
